Univision Communications Inc. and Snapchat announced a partnership to create unique Live Stories around Univision events, including sports and entertainment. The partnership, which is one of the first between Snapchat and a television network, kicks off with the Gold Cup Final on July 26th.
Univision Deportes and Snapchat previously partnered to bring millions of Snapchatters closer to the action of the USA versus Mexico soccer friendly via a Live Story in April of this year. In addition to this weekend’s Gold Cup Final Live Story, Snapchat and Univision are exploring a Live Story tied to the Copa America Centenario next summer.
Snapchat Live Stories allow Snapchatters at the same event to contribute their unique perspectives through photo and video Snaps to one collective Story. Snapchat curates each Live Story, aiming to capture how participants are experiencing the event from all angles. Each Live Story is several minutes in length and available for Snapchatters to view for 24 hours.
